More than 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry, 23 years with the BP Group; Former COO of Oil Search and Executive General Manager LNG responsible for gas growth and exploration. Currently a member of the Board of PNG Sustainable Development Program and a Non-Executive Director of Drill Search Energy Company; Extensive gas project development and management experience; Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Glenn joined Sino Gas as Chief Executive Officer in August 2014. Mr Corrie previously held the position of Commercial and Business Development Director with Ophir Energy, responsible for all corporate development initiatives. Prior to joining Ophir, Mr Corrie was a Director with Temasek Holdings Ltd in Singapore, responsible for global energy investments. Between 1998 and 2010, he held a variety of Technical and Corporate Development leadership positions within the Upstream Division of the Royal Dutch Shell Group, including Strategy Manager for Shell Upstream International Asia.
Mr Corrie, a trained geophysicist, started his career at Woodside Petroleum and has completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Board Member of the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce in Beijing.
He was appointed to the Board as Managing Director effective 1 January 2015.
Gavin has over 36 years experience in the oil and gas industry in a variety of leadership roles, primarily with Chevron Corporation. He has broad experience of working in both operating and non-operating roles in complex joint ventures – in Asia, Australia and the UK. His most recent role with Chevron was as Managing Director of Chevron’s gas business development company in Korea. Gavin was appointed as a Non -Executive Director of SGEH on 14 March 2008, then Executive Director In July 2010, and was appointed Chairman of Sino Gas on 1 January 2011.
Gavin has been involved with Sino Gas in various capacities since 2006 and brings significant business and leadership experience. In particular, Gavin has been actively involved in gas marketing and development planning as Sino Gas moved towards the commencement of Pilot Production on both of its PSCs.
In August 2014 Gavin transitioned into a Non-Executive Director role.
Bernie was appointed to the SGEH Board on its incorporation on 5 March 2007. He was appointed to the SGE Board on 15 July 2005.
Bernie was responsible for initially recognizing the potential to develop a clean energy business in China. He has been instrumental in the formation and direction of SGE.
Bernie is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been involved with a number of public and private companies for over 25 years and is currently the Managing Director of Imdex Limited (ASX:IMD), an Australian ASX listed company.
Mr Ginsburg is an experienced former investment banker who has extensive relationships and insights into the Greater China financial services sector. Matthew is resident of Hong Kong and has spent the majority of his 29 year career living and working in Asia. This comprised positions with First Boston in Tokyo and Hong Kong, Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong and subsequently with Barclays Capital in Hong Kong, where he was head of Asia Pacific Investment Banking and a member of the Global Investment Banking Executive Committee until mid-2014.
Ian has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, primarily with Talisman/Repsol. Mr. Weatherdon has broad international senior leadership experience. Previously he held the position of Vice-President Finance for the Asia Pacific region based in Singapore, responsible for the development of a high performing team leading Planning, Performance Management, Finance, Treasury and Tax. Ian was the Chief Financial Officer and most senior Talisman representative in Equión Energía Limited, a joint venture in Colombia with Ecopetrol and he was Finance Manager for Talisman’s Malaysian assets based in Kuala Lumpur. He has also held a variety of senior positions in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Treasury Management and Financial Reporting. Ian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in Canada.
Frank Fu has 22 years’ experience in oil, gas and coal bed methane, including over 14 years with Phillips and ConocoPhillips both in China and the USA. Mr Fu re-joined the Company in July 2014 after having previously held the position of COO with Sino Gas Energy from 2010 to 2012. He was previously responsible for all operations, planning and technical activities in China for AIM-listed Leyshon Energy Limited. Fu has had extensive unconventional natural gas operational experience in Shanxi Province and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Exploration.
Harry has over 10 years experience with major Corporate Recovery and Advisory Firms. Harry is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australia. In September 2008, Harry joined Indian Ocean Advisory Group who specialise in growth, corporate and taxation matters. During his career, Harry has worked on high profile restructuring engagements in mining and assists in advising a number of ASX listed mining companies.
